The project brief called for a reinvigoration of the communal semi-outdoor breakout space. By providing multiple designs of seating areas, clear demarcations between circulation and rest zones were created. Graphics played a large part in injecting energy into the overall space. The playful motif of the running track integrated into the flooring design was a nod to the school’s sporting achievements and history.
